When it comes to designing spaces, it can sometimes be majorly impacted by the pieces of furniture used. This revolves around the size, color, type of material, texture and much more. As Liza Kuhn, a designer explains, the mid-century concept is comes from the development of new ideas by designers and architects that combine both the mass production and technology that are invented during the first half of the 20th century but with a more optimistic look into the coming years.

The mid-century modern décor concept focuses on straightforward, clean and simple designs that put emphasis on modernity and futurism sought from the mid 20th century. With most furnishings made by teak, oak and other similar wood materials, pieces from the mid-century modern design is incorporated into a space and also provide functionality without putting too much effort.
Using bold colors can also play a huge role in mid-century modern designs. It could be as a statement area in a certain space, or it can also be applied onto the furniture itself to further accentuate the piece and turning it into the main focus in the room.

Designing a space to look comprehensive and sophisticated might not be as complicated as you think — thanks to the simplicity and straightforward concept of mid-century modern design. Minor changes can definitely bring a huge difference towards a piece, which then makes the whole space look pleasing and clean.
